Most people can receive superficial peels, but suitability depends on your skin type and medical history. A consultation is required. Medium depth peels require skin to be prepped beforehand.

You may feel mild tingling or warmth during the peel. This is temporary and generally well tolerated. Skin peels with a stronger acid content will feel warmer than lighter, superficial peels.

Downtime is minimal with resurfacers. You may experience mild redness or light flaking depending on the strength of the peel. Medium depth peels may peel for approximately 1-2 weeks.

Skin peels are not suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If there are any active skin infections, wounds, sunburn and cold sores in the area treatment must be postponed. Skin sensitivity, allergies to ingredients and certain medications such as isotretinoin are not suitable. A consultation will assess suitability and medical history before all treatments.
